More 'Hopes and Dreams'

I have just realised that I have 2 layouts that I still have to share with you. Don't know where the days are going... The first layout is based on the 1st May sketch over at Stuck Sketches.  I love playing along at Stuck whenever I get a chance.  Here is my layout.  I've used a photo of my MIL and SIL when they were visiting us in March this year. All products are available from The Scrapbook Store.
I just love the colours in the the beautiful new Prima 'Wishes & Dreams' collection.  The fern leaves were cut using the Cheery Lyn Designs 'Pair of Ferns' die. I've added the white butterflies using the Crafters Workshop 'Mariposas' template and some Atelier Heavy Gesso Primer.
Here is the lovely sketch from Stuck.

My following layout is for the May Prima BAP.  I thought the colours in this collection were perfect for a boy layout.  This is pic of my DS in 2008.  The title pretty much sums up his personality. :)
A close up of the Scrap FX chipboard title.  I used brown ink to change the colour.
And another close up of the cluster.  The 'fine branch' chipboard is from WOW.
Well, that's it for today.  I am frantically packing for The Scrapbook Store's Retreat this weekend! Woohoo! I am looking forward to catching up with all the lovely ladies I've met before and meeting new ones.  It's going to be a blast!
Thank you so much for popping in and for your lovely comments. It's always apprectiated.
Until next time!

Scrap Africa's Chipboard Challenge

Hi there everyone! Hope you are having a great week. I am enjoying the lovely autumn weather we are having in Perth at the moment. :)  Scrap Africa is having a new challenge and the Design Team was sponsered with some stunning chipboard pieces from DESIGN WORX this month.  They have some really beautiful unique designs and they are also sponsoring the random prize for this month's challenge.  Yes, you've guessed it.. the challenge this month is to use at least one chipboard piece on your layout. Pretty easy hey?  Here is my example.
I've used the new Kaisercraft 'On This Day' collection and added a few Prima flowers. :)  The crocheted lace trim is from Green Tara and the two top layers were punched using my Martha Stewart 'Doily Lace' edger punch.
Another close up (or two).  The border on the outside edge of my layout were punched using the 'Cherish' Punch Around the Page Set.
This is one of the chipboard pieces that were sent to me by the lovely Denise from Scrap Africa.  I love the words and it says pretty much exactly how I feel about my DD. :)
The chippie frame around my photo is also one from Design Worx.
I hope you are inspired to play along with this challenge.  You can check out the beautiful examples of the rest of the DT HERE.  You have until the end of May to play along.
Thank you for visitng and enjoy the rest of your week.
Until next time!

Prima 'Hopes & Dreams'

Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there! I hope you were spoilt by your kids and hubbies today.  Pity we have to wait another year! Lol!  I thought I would use the opportunity to share a layout with you . I created this page with my May DT kit from The Scrapbook Store.
This is a pic of my DD very deep in thought while waiting for us during a recent trip to Fremantle one afternoon.  I've used the new Prima 'Wishes & Dreams' collection.  Love the colours!
 Another little close up. :)
That's all for today.  I have more to share but the day ran out of sunlight around lunch time today, so I couldn't take any photos. It will have to stand over for another day.
Well, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my Mothers Day/Night, before it all ends. :) :)
Thank you for calling by and have a happy week!
Until next time.

May challenge at Scrap The Girls

Hi everyone.  Winter weather has well and truly set in here in Perth today.  The wind is howling and the rain is bucketing down.  It's great when you're all nice and cosy inside, which is where I am fortunate to be today.
The new challenge at Scrap The Girls is up and it's a great one!  Just use the saying 'A smile is the best makeup a girl can wear' somewhere on your layout.  The CT has done a great job in providing you with inspiration.  Check it out HERE.
Here is my example.  The photo is of my DD and her BF on their way to a friend's 18th birthday party.  These two girlies have such fun together.  I've use the new Prima 'Lyric' collection for this. It's one of my favourites of the season.
A close up of the flower cluster.  The flourish is from Kaisercraft.
Another little close up, just for good measure. :)
I hope to see your entry linked up soon!
Thank you for visiting! Stay warm and stay safe wherever you are.
Until next time!

May Sketch challenge at The Scrapbook Store

Hi everyone!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  Just want to share the new May sketch from The Scrapbook Store with you.  It's a beautiful sketch from PageMaps.
And here is my example.  I don't often do male pages, as I'm not very comfortable with it, but I really enjoyed doing this one.  The pics are of my DH taken during a recent holiday and I just love how relaxed he looks. :)
The chipboard pieces are from Dusty Attic and the flowers from Manor House and Prima
I love adding hessian and muslin to my layouts. :)
A close up of the background texture I've created using the Crafters Workshop 'Mini Cubist' template and some Texture Magic.
I hope you get a chance to play along.  There's a $40 store voucher (with free postage) up for grabs and the winner gets determined by random draw, which means anybody can win!!  You have until the end of the month to get your entry in!
Okay, I'm off to get ready for the new week.  Hopefully Monday will be kind to us all!
Thank you for popping by and for all your lovely comments.  I really appreciate it.
Until next time!

A cool new sketch at Scrap Africa

Hi there everyone!  First I want to apologise for being so scarce arounde web lately.  There are several things that are causing delays on my side, but I won't bore you with the details.  I am planning a bit of a catch up in the next few days. ;)  Today I want to share the cool May Sketch at Scrap Africa with you.
And my example.  The background paper is from an older My Minds Eye collection.  I love these photos of DH and I.  His sister took them while we were on holiday in March this year. :)

I've added some Dusty Attic chipboard, a Pink Paislee burlap flower and some of the new Green Tara Heirloom Blooms.  They come in the most amazing colours. :)

More flowers... this time Green Tara Mini Roses and Kaisercraft Mini paper blooms.
Another close up showing some of the texture created with the Prima 'Chevron' mask, some muslin and an old pizza box. Lol!

That's all for today.  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  Thank you so much for calling by.  It's always appreciated. :)
